Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, International, we partner with local individuals and organizations to provide safe, affordable, energy-efficient homes for low-income families in the Greater Garland area. Hotcakes for Homes
Saturday, December 14th, 2013 from 8am-10am: Fill up on an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at Applebee's, 1440 Eastgate Dr, Garland, TX 75041 from 8am-10am. Enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, home fried potatoes, and your choice of beverage. A great way to start the day and help local families at the same time! Proceeds help us fulfill our mission to bring affordable homes to low income families in our community. Tickets can purchased here or at the door for $10/each.
HFHGG is pleased to announce new Executive Director Marty Rogers.
Marty Graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Texas at Dallas with a BS in Businesss Administration and graduated from SMU in 1993 with a Juris Doctorate Degree. She has practiced law for the past 20 years while serving on the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland Board of Directors since 2004, functioning as chairman of Outreach for First Christian Church of Garland, and teaching Sunday school. She holds the distinction of being the only individual holding a commission as a non-commissioned officer in the Texas Navy. HFHGG believes great things will come as a result of her leadership!
2013 Apostle Build
This year's Aposlte Build is at 236 Southwood in Garland TX. Construction started in September 2013 and we have made wonderful progress! The roof is now complete. We want to thank GAF and Lon Smith roofing of Garland for donating this beautiful roof.
Local churches are helping fund and build this Habitat home for the Ata family. We want to thank the following churches for their support and participation: Buckingham United Methodist Church, Connection Pointe Church, Eastern Hills Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church of Garland, NorthPlace Church, Northside Baptist Church, and South Garland Baptist Church.

HFHGG receives 3 yr grant from United Way Metropolitan Dallas
HFHGG receives 3 year grant from United Way Metropolitan Dallas for its Garland ISD home build project. Building Trades students in the carpentry and electrical programs from Naaman Forest and North Garland High School build one Habitat house during the school year. Added is a career and college component allowing students to earn college credit through the use of NCCER curriculum. We are pleased to be a United Way service provider. [ ...more
