3rd Annual Richard Christian Memorial Golf Tournament
Save the Date! October 13th, 2014 at Firewheel Golf Center in Garland Tx. Event starts at 1:00pm. This charity tournament helps GAHFH further its mission to provide safe, decent, affordable homes to low-income Garland families. Join us for this fun event. Lots of great raffle and auction items including a cruise ball-drop. Lunch provided by Panera Bread and dinner by Soulman's BBQ. Garland Area Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)3 non-profit and an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we partner with local individuals and organizations to provide safe, affordable, energy-efficient homes for low-income families in the Greater Garland area. We are the only Habitat affiliate building homes in Garland. Please browse these pages and learn more about our history, our mission and opportunities to get involved. Garland Area Habitat for Humanity
 
 

Garland Area Habitat for Humanity is teaming up with The City of Garland's Vital Neighborhoods and Home Depot. DIY Garland is a new program to improve curb appeal in selected Garland neighborhoods. This program encourages neighbors helping each other and working with Habitat volunteers to improve the curb appeal of their home. To find out more visit the DIY website at www.DIYGarland.org.
 
  
2013 Apostle Build

 
This year's Aposlte Build is at 236 Southwood in Garland TX. Construction started in September 2013 and was dedicated on August 23rd, 2014. The Ata family worked very hard along with our Apostle Build volunteers on this lovely 3 bedroom home. We want to thank GAF and Lon Smith roofing of Garland for donating this beautiful roof.  Local churches helped fund and build this Habitat home for the Ata family. We want to thank the following churches for their support and participation: Buckingham United Methodist Church, Connection Pointe Church, Eastern Hills Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church of Garland, NorthPlace Church, Northside Baptist Church, and South Garland Baptist Church.

New ReStore Opening Soon!New ReStore Opening Soon!
GAHFH plans fall 2014 opening of new ReStore. GAHFH will open a new ReStore at Lavon and Crist Road (2360 Crist Rd, Suite 700) in Garland TX this fall. Proceeds from this store will help us build more homes for low-income families in the Garland community. We are accepting donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, doors, windows, cabinets, remodeling/building materials, flooring, and home goods. We will pick up donations. Garland Area Habitat for Humanity receives 3 year grant from United Way Metropolitan Dallas for its Garland ISD home build project. Building Trades students in the carpentry and electrical programs from Naaman Forest and North Garland High School build one Habitat house during the school year.
